A potent serum that combines salicylic acid, l-lactic acid and an azelaic acid derivative to create a dynamic solution for acne-prone skin.

Previously known as: Salicylic Serum

How to use: Shake well before using. Skin should be clean and free of irritation before applying. Apply 1 pump to the entire face.

  • Skin types: Dry, normal, combination, and oily skin types.
  • Skin concerns: Mild, moderate, or severe inflamed acne, combination acne and acne rosacea.
  • Fitzpatrick types: 1-6
Size: 1 oz

Key Ingredients

• 2% salicylic acid: An oil-soluble beta hydroxy acid with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and exfoliating properties.
• 2% l-lactic acid: An alpha hydroxy acid that supports hydration, exfoliation, and aids in the process of reducing hyperpigmentation.
• 2% potassium azeloyl diglycinate: A derivative of azelaic acid that supports hydration, improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation, and is shown to be beneficial for rosacea.

Benefits

• Because salicylic acid is oil soluble, it can penetrate the pore to dissolve cellular glue and prevent dead skin build up.
• The combination of salicylic acid, l-lactic acid, potassium azeloyl diglycinate in this serum provides anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits as well as exfoliating and brightening properties.

Tips

• This serum is the preferred recommendation for treating acne rosacea. If the client cannot tolerate this serum, opt for 5% or 8% L-Mandelic Serum instead.
• Always perform a Serum Skin Sensitivity Test with this serum before adding it to a client’s home care routine.
• Consider adding this serum for clients with oily skin if they have inflamed acne that is not responding well to 5% or 8% L-Mandelic Serum. Use one type of serum in the morning and the other in the evening.
• It is also a good choice for inflamed acne or combination acne when neither 8% nor 5% L-Mandelic Serum cannot be tolerated during a skin sensitivity test.
• Salicylic should not be used by anyone that is allergic to aspirin. Aspirin is a salicylate, which is in the same family as salicylic acid.
• Do not use while pregnant or nursing.
